@TheAtheistHindu Hinduism/Buddhism are Teacher Faiths. The Teacher says the color of the sky is Green, every student/follower MUST disagree. No getting down on one’s knees, begging & groveling. U get an F, u don’t get an A by begging for mercy. U get an A by Earning it. Heaven is the goal of a christian/muslim – u get there by begging & groveling. Character doesn’t matter. Moksha is the goal of a Hindu – it must be EARNED! Character is the ONLY thing that matters.

@ramaraksha01 What you call ‘pleasure’ i call a part of a nutritional diet, which is why humans have always eaten meat. Yes, you do not nowadays need to eat meat to survive but there is most certainly nothing unnatural or immoral about it. I don’t know how you can bring religion into vegetarianism, as vegetarians can be any religion or lack it altogether. Do not make the mistake of thinking irreligion means immorality, as that is easily the most absurd suggestion ever raised about atheism.

I don’t think religions actually evolve that much over time. It’s the interpretation of religions that evolve and change with the zeitgeist.
Or at least, the mainstream interpretations evolve with time, with certain percentages of adherents continuing to be fundamentalistic and some more liberal in their interpretations than the majority.

@donorleone Unnatural and immoral are two completely different words with meanings that have absolutely nothing in common, if you deny this, then you are committing the naturalistic fallacy. Also, it is very difficult to argue that there is nothing immoral about the eating of meat, stunning methods used in slaughterhouses are unreliable, so some animals are completely conscious when being put through a grinder, and livestock do have a greater contribution to greenhouse gas emission than plants.

Sigh i see that u haven’t read my posts, looks like u just glanced at one?
Comments about religion were not directed at u.
yes we have always eaten meat, yes meat is part of a nutritional diet. But it would greatly help if u read my comments about causing needless pain & suffering. If u couldn’t care less about causing pain & suffering to animals then this dicussion needs to go no further.

atheists are cold hearted and way too scientific.. almost as bad as christians.. christians are worse.. but they are both bad in my book.. i bielive there is a god.. but not what we think he is.. and alot more then 1 god.. im speaking more of aliens for those of you that do not already understand. if not then we have to be made up form plant matter ourselvs.. and baby jebus didnt create 2 trillion galaxys and a billions of planets and gasses in 6 days.. or 2000 years…
