In order to be spiritual without religion, you must be a deist. Agnostic means you’re unsure of the existence of a deity or deities.

  2. justinsgil185 says:

Define “spiritual(y) agnostic” in a way that makes sence.

  3. masteretl says:

@justinsgil185 I’m not really sure how to respond to that, because anyone using their common sense would know what that means.

  4. justinsgil185 says:

Nobody knows what that means, and I would wager that you dont either.

  5. masteretl says:

@M0rganKane You don’t have to be religious to believe in God. I’m a very spiritual agnostic.

  6. M0rganKane says:

@masteretl if you dont choose religion, you’re an atheist. you have no god, you dont believe in any gods.

  7. popart242 says:

“Se deus existe e criou o homem há não sei quantos milhões de anos, o que é que ele fez desde então?”

  8. masteretl says:

    I choose neither.

  9. mattpolofka says:

    religions evolve, what great irony.

  10. hemptimes123 says:

@TheSt00pidDispatcher planet earth yes. The universe no. I’m not baby jebus so i can’t tell you how that was created, I’m speaking more of theories then anything else, but in my opinion i think that we humans, and the animals on this planet, were created by DNApossibly through machine, and then a super high dose of radiation gave us the communication skills and feel we needed to become human.

  11. 111E982a says:

CCTV? China FTW! hahas! can you post the whole dicussion, cos the acc was terminated, would really love to see it..

  12. ryanhawn89 says:

@andrwheekilee atheist fucktards communists? hahaha wow, thank you for further proving my point. i’m guessing you’re a religious man?

  13. TheSt00pidDispatcher says:

@hemptimes123 I’m not quite sure I understand what your saying. God/god is, by its very definition, a supernatural entity. An alien is an entity that is IN NATURE, that is, in the cosmos, and beholden to natural law. An alien can’t be a “god”. Do you think “aliens” created the cosmos? Because that would be impossible by definition. You think they brought life to planet earth? I’m just asking for you to expand upon these things because I’m curious.

  14. hemptimes123 says:

    @ramaraksha01 god was an alien

  15. hemptimes123 says:

you can clearly tell that people use god as an excuse or an escape.. they dont give half a shit about a man in the sky who created eartth.. but they need to make him sound wonderful if they use religion as a shield..

  16. hemptimes123 says:

in our minds we have a receptalgland that basically feeds on religion.. this is why most religious figures cannot change there already retarded mind state.

  17. hemptimes123 says:

atheists are cold hearted and way too scientific.. almost as bad as christians.. christians are worse.. but they are both bad in my book.. i bielive there is a god.. but not what we think he is.. and alot more then 1 god.. im speaking more of aliens for those of you that do not already understand. if not then we have to be made up form plant matter ourselvs.. and baby jebus didnt create 2 trillion galaxys and a billions of planets and gasses in 6 days.. or 2000 years…

  18. ramaraksha01 says:

@donorleone sorry for the late reply. I was out of the country on vacation.
Sigh i see that u haven’t read my posts, looks like u just glanced at one?
Comments about religion were not directed at u.
yes we have always eaten meat, yes meat is part of a nutritional diet. But it would greatly help if u read my comments about causing needless pain & suffering. If u couldn’t care less about causing pain & suffering to animals then this dicussion needs to go no further.

  19. Tnk64ChessCourse says:

@donorleone Unnatural and immoral are two completely different words with meanings that have absolutely nothing in common, if you deny this, then you are committing the naturalistic fallacy. Also, it is very difficult to argue that there is nothing immoral about the eating of meat, stunning methods used in slaughterhouses are unreliable, so some animals are completely conscious when being put through a grinder, and livestock do have a greater contribution to greenhouse gas emission than plants.

  20. Tnk64ChessCourse says:

@donorleone Lol, that’s a great argument that you have there :P

    the lady is really cute.

  22. KimHjalmarsson says:

I don’t think religions actually evolve that much over time. It’s the interpretation of religions that evolve and change with the zeitgeist.
Or at least, the mainstream interpretations evolve with time, with certain percentages of adherents continuing to be fundamentalistic and some more liberal in their interpretations than the majority.

  23. shieldsff says:

this was informative & helpful discussion;.I think it may also prove helpful to some of the viewers here to try to evaluate many of the more strident claims of the anti-theist critique (“brights”) from a ideological/ metaphysics perspective. Check out the recent article by Jackson Lears in the May 16, 2011 issue of the The Nation entitled “Same Old New Atheism” .The article offers a compelling analysis of Sam Harris’ works. Consideration is given to general atheistic social perspectives

  24. donorleone says:

@ramaraksha01 What you call ‘pleasure’ i call a part of a nutritional diet, which is why humans have always eaten meat. Yes, you do not nowadays need to eat meat to survive but there is most certainly nothing unnatural or immoral about it. I don’t know how you can bring religion into vegetarianism, as vegetarians can be any religion or lack it altogether. Do not make the mistake of thinking irreligion means immorality, as that is easily the most absurd suggestion ever raised about atheism.

  25. ramaraksha01 says:

@TheAtheistHindu Hinduism/Buddhism are Teacher Faiths. The Teacher says the color of the sky is Green, every student/follower MUST disagree. No getting down on one’s knees, begging & groveling. U get an F, u don’t get an A by begging for mercy. U get an A by Earning it. Heaven is the goal of a christian/muslim – u get there by begging & groveling. Character doesn’t matter. Moksha is the goal of a Hindu – it must be EARNED! Character is the ONLY thing that matters.
